Practical Magic Weekend Retreat Autumn 2019.jpg

The sun is sinking lower in the sky, the shadows dapple hazily throughout the trees as the wisdom of the autumn beckons you home to yourself, home to a cozy space within yourself where you can rest and restore ahead of the winter months. It’s time to reflect inward, to take stock and create intention for the month’s ahead—a time of deep reverence and wisdom.

That’s where the Practical Magic weekend comes in. This curated experience is a life-enriching weekend of re-connection, reflection and re-integration designed to activate your magic in its fullest sense. It’s also a weekend dedicated to donning that much-need oxygen mask so you can relax and enjoy some time out from your busy life. It’s the ultimate re-set button so you can re-imagine your vitality and creativity.

Re-connect and Re-energise

Through Practical Magic – a blended melting pot of creativity and well-being self-care mastery— you will enjoy a mixtape worthy variety of good stuff, including soul-enriching meditation, deep healing relaxation with a Yoga Nidra & healing sound bath experience, forest bathing and getting grounded in nature, divine candlelight Yin Yoga and a shake up of your wise, wild and free self with Qoya.

Be inspired and nourished in equal measure by beautiful surroundings, beautiful self-care rituals and carefully crafted food. Enjoy meaningful conversation with the collective inspiration of other women who offer support, trust and magical connection when we gather together.

This is an experience like no other.

Expect peace and tranquillity combined with a disco ball and sequins vibe in equal measure.

Decelerate your life and get back to the simple things

This is one of the most unique places you can get for a weekend of soul-full living. Located on the outskirts of an ancient forest on the beautiful Isle of Wight, your accommodation is a stay in an award-winning Tiny Home. These quirky eco-friendly homes may be tiny, but they feel anything but, they’ve been designed with space and comfort in mind. Think cozy nooks, wood burners, lush interiors, outside decks and plenty of crisp white linen and towels.

Each home is beautifully, and cleverly designed and crafted and has its own kitchen, shower and toilet, wood-burning stove and outside deck. You will be sharing a Tiny home (you will have your own super-comfy bed). There are a maximum of three people sharing each home.

The Homes:

Eilidh is the Gaelic word for ‘light’ with clean lines and natural textures.

Hygge, is the well-known Danish word that relates to warmth and wellbeing.

Silva, Latin for ‘forest’, evokes the woodland with fresh, natural textures and colours

Choosing to go to the Practical Magic Spring Retreat was one of the best things I've ever done for myself. It was wonderful - the space, the people, the rituals, the food, everything was just amazing.  I left with a full heart, a deeper understanding of myself and such a sense of calm and clarity. I can't thank Kate enough for the weekend.

Kate Taylor’s retreats are always beautifully curated and support deep, transformational work with a lightness of touch that is rare.

Tiny Homes on the Isle of Wight is the perfect location for a weekend retreat. The little self-contained eco homes provide cosy accommodation, while the studio space is light and airy, and nutritious, wholesome food, always prepared with immense love, supports the work of the retreat. I will definitely book again.

To say it was life changing sounds like a cliché but really it was. Meeting people you'd wish you'd known all your life, but then kind of feeling like you have. Making connections in body, mind and spirit.  Having everything you've been working on come together and understanding yourself a bit better. It was such an incredible weekend where a beautiful safe space was created and held.  I danced, laughed, cried, had set backs and breakthroughs.  I learnt I can heal in body and mind and was supported by the most amazing women in doing this. I left understanding more about myself than I knew there was to learn.
