The next round of Practical Magic training will commence on Tuesday 14 May 2024 with a live opening session alongside all of your training buddies.

All training is delivered online through training videos, worksheets, and reflection practice guides. 

Each week you will get access to a new module, and be asked to complete a simple assessment.

The 90 minute weekly live group calls will mostly be held via Zoom each Tuesday 7pm (UK time) for the duration of the course. 

These calls are designed to support your learning and make sure you fully understand the concepts presented each week. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and take advantage of spotlight coaching.

You will have four bonus sessions which will take place throughout the duration of the course. These will be delivered at 7pm (UK time), days TBC.

You will also have the support of the private Facebook community throughout the course, and beyond. 

You will  buddy up with another course participant for practice in between sessions.

You should allocate between 2-3 hours per week to cover all the online learning materials and consolidate your learning.

Allow 1.5 hours for the weekly live calls, and 1 hour for the optional bonus calls.

You will have coaching practice and self-practice using the deck, and journaling prompts which you should build into your everyday routine.

The duration of the course and live training itself is 8 weeks, and you should allow at least 5 hours per week to go through the course programme, and practice.

So, if you can’t commit to the study time, then this may not be the right time for you to do the training.

However, the training is flexible learning, so you can do it in your own time, there’s no pressure to get it all done within 8 weeks, but it does make a huge difference if you can join the live calls and get accountability & support from the group.

Yes, on completion of the training, and after submission of all assessments required, you will receive a Certification of Completion of the training.

The Practical Magic Facilitation Programme & Training is accredited by the IPHM (Institute of Practitioners of Holistic Medicine), which means we attain a high standard of knowledge, experience and development that is widely valued throughout the industry. 

As we are a member, and accredited by The IPHM you will be entitled to a discount on insurance through the IPHM once you have completed the full training.

We follow the IPHM's Code of Conduct, as well as the Code of Ethics of the International Coaching Federation & The Association of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), as the founder Kate Taylor is certified and a member of both organisations.

Yes absolutely, you can apply any of the tools and techniques in any corporate and professional environment. I take much of my 25 years experience working in corporate environments to share ways Practical Magic can be used with individuals and teams.

In fact it is one of our missions that more of this work is delivered in corporate / business environments in order to promote empathy, compassion, and intuition as key ingredients to foster creativity & communication in the workplace.

The Practical Magic Coach & Facilitation training programme is designed to give you an overview and introduction to the various wellbeing and personal development practices and modalities that make up Practical Magic. 

Taking part in this training will not give you a qualification in any of the individual modalities, such as Qoya, or NLP.

You will get a deep understanding of the principles and fundamental practices of coaching, and you will practice coaching using the Practical Magic Activation Deck as a tool to aid coaching.

Should you wish to become a qualified Qoya teacher, you can find out more information via Qoya here. 

To become a qualified NLP Practitioner or life coach with an accreditation through recognised bodies such as the Association of Neuro Linguistic Programming (ANLP) or the International Coaching Federation (ICF), we have a number of recommended courses.

You will be able to call yourself a licensed Practical Magic® facilitator, however the license does not cover you to brand any of your events, workshops and retreats as ‘Practical Magic® ’ events.

Within the programme you'll be shown ideas for adding interactive Practical Magic® elements to your own events, workshops & retreats.

This Programme does not cover training to teach other people how to become Practical Magic® facilitators.  

There will be specific training on becoming a teacher trainer and Practical Magic® retreat provider in the future.

Yes! If you are a guest coach or teacher at someone else's retreat or if you already offer retreats and you wish to offer a Practical Magic workshop on the retreat, then you go for it! 

I have found that having different ways of sharing Practical Magic tools and using the deck at wellbeing festivals, events and retreats is a brilliant way of engaging with people and providing them with a unique way of tuning into their inner wisdom & activating intuition to explore more within their lives. What your certification does not allow you to do is offer a ‘Practical Magic retreat’ in which Practical Magic is the primary offering.

Once you’ve completed the Practical Magic Coach & Facilitation Training Programme, you will be required to sign a License Agreement before you can call yourself a licensed facilitator. You will need to re-commit to this agreement every 12 months.

Being a licensed Practical Magic Coach & Facilitator means you are part of an ever-evolving set of teachings and guidance which will expand and develop over time, so it’s important that your agreement reflects these practices as they develop.

As part of this Programme, you will receive a 12 month membership to the Practical Magic Circle Community Calls & Coaching Drop in sessions, which is a vibrant mix of monthly continuing education, guest mentors, practice development, community, and coaching support to help you build your practice and offerings

Once your 12 month anniversary of your license is up for renewal you will receive an invitation to re-commit to another 12 months at a cost of £500 per annum.

If you do not wish to continue with the license after 12 months has expired, you will lose access to the online information hub & training materials and you will no longer be able to take part in the ongoing Practical Magic Circle Community Calls. You will no longer be a licensed Practical Magic Coach & Facilitator. You will of course be able to continue using the deck and what you’ve learned.

Absolutely! It is our mission is to have a vibrant community of Practical Magic coaches, facilitators and leaders in all corners of the world. As most of the training is delivered via the online content you will receive in the course itself, it means that you can study in your own timezone, and I have specifically made sure that the live weekly calls cover bases regardless of whether you are joining from Australia to Alaska!

Taking part in the course will mean you are licensed to become a Practical Magic coach & facilitator, which means that you will be able to use the Practical Magic toolkit in whatever capacity you would like - the sky really is the limit in what you can do with them. 

The training gives you the opportunity to deepen your connection with your clients using the Practical Magic Activation Deck as a tool and to support your current practice and business with a deeper inquiry by exploring the unique modalities within Practical Magic. 

Becoming a Practical Magic coach & facilitator also provides you with a unique opportunity to bring additional revenue streams into your business by offering one-to-one readings, group workshops, events, leading your own retreats, and by becoming a wholesale partner selling decks directly to others.

Absolutely, you can decide to pay for your course over 6 or 12 months, and in special circumstances, over 18 months.

We understand that the full course fees may not be accessible to everyone, and with that in mind, we have a limited number of Bursary Funding Spaces for each round of Practical Magic Coach & Facilitation Training.

These are based on either 80% of the full training fees, 40% of the full training fees or 20% of full training fees.

These are awarded on a case by case application, based on individual circumstances of those applying.*

The limited number of Bursary Funding spaces will be made available to those who are, or would like to be, supporting communities in need, marginalised communities, BIPOC communities, the LGBTQ+ community, disadvantaged children, survivors of domestic abuse, and more.

As we are looking to bring more representation to the Practical Magic community, we will be giving priority to Black and Brown applicants who are looking to bring coaching into their work and community spaces.

An overview of the funding levels:
When you are selected for 20% of funding towards full course fees, you're eligible for 20% discount on the full course fees. This funding option is intended for individuals who can afford their basic necessities but have limited disposable income. When selected for this bursary funding option it may require some sacrifice, but it won't result in significant hardship.

The 40% funding option is intended for individuals who can afford their basic necessities but have limited disposable income. Again, when selected for this bursary funding option it may require some sacrifice, but it won't result in significant hardship.

The 80% funding option is for individuals who struggle to afford their basic necessities. Paying for full cost of the training would still be a significant financial burden for them.

Please take note of the difference between sacrifice and hardship:

If you're considering paying for a class, product, or service, and it would be difficult but not detrimental to do so, then it qualifies as a sacrifice. This might require you to cut back on other expenditures like dining out, buying coffee, or shopping for new clothes, but it won't harm your long-term financial stability. It's a sacrifice made in pursuit of something you feel called to do, and has the ability to positively impact your life and earning potential.

On the other hand, if paying for the class, product, or service would cause harm to your financial stability, like not being able to afford food, rent, or transportation to work, then you're dealing with hardship. Individuals who are experiencing hardship usually qualify for the higher percentage of funding.

*We ask that you only apply for a bursary funded place if you really need it.

Spaces are very limited and in demand and applying when you can find a way to fund the course that wouldn't cause hardship could take a place from someone who isn't able to participate any other way.
