Why Building a Community is Essential for Heart-Centered Business Owners and Soulful Side Hustlers by business empowerment coach, Kate Taylor

Why Building a Community is Essential for Heart-Centred Business Owners and Soulful Side Hustlers

I read a social media post this week from my wonderful friend and business support queen Hayley Southwood about being an emotional business owner, and it got me in the feels, because I definitely identify as one.

I am a BIG feeler, an empath, compassionately-led, heart-centred.

I thrive on connection. I feel the power of possibility for my client, my own business, and the positive impact those I am here to support can have on the world.

Positive ripple effects of mission-led, purpose-fuelled magic makers bringing all that they are to help others be all that they are.

One of the things I have have given huge importance to over the past 10+ years of entrepreneurship is the power of community. It's everything, and as a heart-centered business owner or soulful side-hustler, it can be central for you too.

Here's some of the reasons community is to pivotal

⚡️ Having a community provides emotional support

Starting a business or side hustle can be a lonely and isolating experience. Having a community of like-minded cheerleaders helps you feel understood and supported. When you are going through a challenging time, having a supportive community to turn to can be incredibly helpful.

⚡️ Community offers accountability

When you are working for yourself, it can be easy to fall into the trap of procrastination or to lose sight of your goals. Having community means you have a space of like-minded souls who share your values and vision, who can keep you accountable and motivated. Sharing your mission, goals and progress gives you the added incentive to stay on track.

⚡️ Having a community helps you learn and grow

Being part of a community means that you have access to an absolute wealth of knowledge and experience, as well as different perspectives. I've learned the most from my own successes and failures, as well as those of others. It also means you can ask for advice when you need it.

⚡️ Community creates a sense of belonging

As human beings, especially heart-centred business owners, we crave belonging. Being part of a community can provide us with a sense of belonging and purpose. When you are part of a community that shares your values and goals, you can feel a sense of camaraderie and support.

⚡️ Community is connection

Being in community with other heart-centred business owners keeps you connected to your mission, even when it feels you've lost the threads in the doing. Connecting to others missions, re-ignites your fire and re-connects you back to your own mission for what you are here to do in the world.

Being part of a community also provides opportunities for networking and collaboration, which can help you grow your business or side hustle.

Community is everything, it holds you up when you are most in need, so surround yourself with people who lift you up, challenge you, and help you grow, and watch your business and your soul thrive.

You can gather and join with me in community on Friday 9 June in Brighton for the BIG, BOLD, BEAUTIFUL Business Boutique, a day where we will hang out together to blend soul with strategy to create alchemy in your heart-centred work.
